D has gone from first time boat driver to pro in just a few short days! She is amazing!!!
Tested the washer dryer and found it to be excellent! Did 8 loads of laundry including sheets and towels. Even ran the unit on its “dryer” cycle and found it worked excellent if you followed the instruction manual. Sometimes you get an upgrade option hoping it will work well and so far we are very excited about this washer/dryer option as it makes us even less reliant on being near civilization!
Before the crew left we spent the weekend exploring Conception Island! It was an upwind sail that took most of the day, but we were thrilled to get some sailing in! We spent the evening watching sharks swim around the underwater lights and pointing out constellations. High tide was around 10:45a the following morning, so we packed our gear, dogs, and crew in the dinghy and set off to explore the “creek”! The creeks are extremely shallow and an adventure to navigate, even at high tide! Not long after, we saw the tide moving out giving us our indication to get the heck out of there - many areas dry up at low tide! We didn’t get any diving in, but we hear there are some good wall dives to explore on future visits!
