Sometimes boat life looks like this. Waylon is officially confined to the boat while a wound on his paw heals. What started as a severe limp yesterday revealed what appeared to be a bruise/blood blister on his left rear paw. This morning in a fit of paw shaking it burst open leaving a blood trail all over the salon 😅 after a good cleaning (of his paw) he received a club foot to prevent further bleeding and cushion the pad a bit when he does need to move around.
Upside: June will be uncontested in the next few games of fetch. I think she’ll like that 😉

After three weeks in the States, working hard, soaking up every spare moment with family and friends, and saying goodbye to our house, we are back with the dogs and settling in on Sojourner!
The dogs were well cared for while we were gone at the very cool @diamondestatekennelsandcattery in BVI! We missed them like crazy but I couldn’t have asked for a better place to leave them. Having been with them 24/7 for over a year, it was difficult…but Alison took such great care of them!
The boat looks brand new! The guys at West End Boat Yard did a fantastic job!! Pictures of the new beautiful bottom coming soon!
We have been slowly unpacking/cleaning/putting cushions back for the past few days while Mike fights a nasty sickness. We will be setting sail for Martinique (hopefully) in the next week! More to come.

We’ve been quiet lately…but for good reason! Today we finished packing all of our remaining belongings in a U-Haul and set off to where our RV and things will be stored. We are committing to boat life! For the past year we have fallen in love with life on the water, and plan to continue exploring the Caribbean until setting sail across the Pacific in spring of 2028! That’s right…we’ve “decided” on our future sailing plans! It will be a journey to get there, and it’s emotional to walk away from the place we’ve called home for so long, but we are thrilled for the next chapter ahead.
